There are loads of free WordPress plugins on the WordPress.org Directory.
To be more precise, there are 60,554 plugins, as on March 3, 2023.
While there are a bunch of popular WordPress plugins that I am sure your website needs, here’s a list of plugins that it probably doesn’t need. But that doesn’t mean these plugins aren’t just as important.
Some of these plugins do nothing. Some are just for laughs. Some are plain silly.
But hey, someone out there took the time to create these.
To remind us that you really shouldn’t take life too seriously.
So, surely we owe it to them to take these for a spin and chuckle a bit?

Let’s get this list started with this worthless plugin. (No, I am not being rude by calling it worthless. That’s the name of the plugin.)
I am not going to spoil this for you. Install it and try it for yourself. It will make you smile, right before you de-activate it. The author did try to tell you it is worthless.
The plugin has a ‘Settings’ screen too where the author promotes his other plugins and also asks you to ‘Consider writing a review or making a donation if you like the plugin or if you find the plugin useful.’
Hmmmm…well, it did make me smile 🙂

Warning : This plugin has not been updated since the last 6 years.
If you grew up on a steady diet of Bart Simpson’s antics, you have got to love this plugin.
Dooodl – Draw doodles
Warning : This plugin has not been updated since the last 7 years.
Allow your users to have a little fun on the side, literally. They can create doodles, view and save them in the sidebar.
WP Fun – Fart Sounds
Last but not the least, this list could not have been complete without a thoroughly inappropriate, farts plugin.

So many more that are loads of fun, but not maintained
In Conclusion
Unfortunately, most of the truly awesome plugins on this list, have not been maintained over the years. Would be so lovely to see some of these revived and back in action.
