Love is in the air.
Yes, Valentine’s Day is around the corner.
If you want your blog or e-commerce store to get into the Valentine spirit, it’s easy to do that with a few plugins that you can activate and use temporarily. Do turn them off after Valentine’s Day though or they can get annoying after a point.
Here’s a list of WordPress plugins to make your website ready for Valentine’s Day –
Valentine’s Day Countdown
Launched around November 2025, this free Valentine plugin is relatively new, compared to the others in this list.
Easy to set up, you can display a live countdown to the nearest Valentine’s Day using a shortcode, on any post or page.
To watch it in action, check it out here, scroll right to the bottom – I have used this plugin on a Valentine’s Day Gifts list on GiftBloq (a hobby project of mine).
Weather Effect – Free WordPress plugin
This is a free WordPress plugin that includes a couple of options that you can use for Valentine’s Day to show hearts, balloons and roses on your website. Pretty easy to set up. It also allows you to control the size of the shapes and the speed, which is really useful because it can get annoying if the heart shapes fall too fast or too slow.

WooCommerce Product Badges – Free WordPress Plugin

If you have a WooCommerce store and are planning to run a Valentine’s Day Sale, this free WordPress plugin can help you display Valentine sale badges for your products. If you prefer getting a ready-to-use label instead of creating one yourself, get the premium version of the Product Labels plugin.
Festival Snow Effect – Free WordPress Plugin

With this free Valentine WordPress plugin, you can choose to have roses, or balloons rain down on your website. If you prefer yellow roses and cupid shaped hearts, you will need to buy the premium version of this plugin.
In Conclusion
I wish I could add more options for other plugins here, but while there are quite a few Valentine-themed plugins, most of them have not been updated since a while. If you know of any interesting Valentine plugins, do leave a comment and let me know.
Happy Valentine’s to all of you!
